# Nuvoboot > Nuvoboot (Arabic: نوفوبوت) is a free, ad-free mobile boot-media app with platform-specific capabilities. It is not yet available in Google Play or Apple's App Store. No universal compatibility, hardware boot success, or performance claims have been validated. ## Official project pages - [Overview](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/) - [English overview](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/en) - [Current compatibility](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/compatibility) - [Development and release status](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/download) - [USB missing from the boot menu](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/guides/usb-not-in-boot-menu) - [Recovery guides](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/guides) - [Help and support](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/support) - [Free app information](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/pricing) - [Privacy](https://nuvoboot.mhm1981dx.chatgpt.site/privacy) ## Current capabilities and boundaries Android engineering code supports inspection, USB mass-storage communication, raw-image writing, cancellation and readback verification. Hybrid Linux ISO and raw IMG images require structural validation. An experimental Windows engine prepares Ventoy/exFAT media images. File-backed tests include a payload above 4 GiB. Physical USB boot testing remains pending. The iPhone app downloads and inspects images and preserves its latest in-app download. Extraction supports compatible Windows ISO9660/Joliet images and the specifically verified Kali Installer 2026.2 image onto a prepared FAT32 drive. The Kali extraction path requires UEFI x64 and does not support Secure Boot. There is no USB formatting, raw-sector writing, UDF-only extraction, or WIM splitting. Invited testers have a TestFlight build; successful file verification is not proof of physical boot compatibility. Nuvoboot is free. There are no subscriptions, paid operation credits, or in-app purchases. OS licenses are separate. No advertising SDKs are included. This file describes the project for readers and tools.
